Saturday Night

After four shots of Wild Turkey Rare Breed (108 proof), I benchpressed 250lbs, a new record for me. I hadn't trained on benchpress seriously since highschool until about three days ago when Brian brough down his equipment. I'm not sure where this strength came from.

UFC 56 was awesome, lead by two impressive victories by Matt Hughes and Rich Franklin.

In other news, encouraging an intoxicated person who is semiconscious to vomit is a no no due to risk of choking and aspiration. Time is the only thing to sober someone up. Choking or getting liquid into the lungs is a huge risk when someone is intoxicated and you should call 911 immediately in either event. Some people die from acute alcohol poisoning at blood alcohol levels as low as 3.5%. Don't let someone choke, don't let them sleep face up, and keep waking them up and/or make sure breaths don't drop below 12 per minutes or stops for periods of 10 seconds or more. 2-3% of the college population will die from alcohol related causes. Just a little review.
